First Lesson: At the beginning of the lesson, show some examples of wanted posters. TN: Make the wanted posters light-hearted; you want the students to see the exciting side of the activity. You also have to be careful not to accidentally bring up a sensitive subject for one of your students. So, the more ridiculous or silly the crime, the safer you will be and the more entertaining it will be for the students.
TN: make sure they are very basic, perhaps you might need to make one up in order to give a relevant example. The students will not be developed enough to understand or produce a news story which is of a high journalistic standard.
They only need to understand what one might look like and how what they should produce should contain fact rather than opinion. How short sentences are used and how longer sentences might be used. Do not assume that every student will have seen news articles before, even in their first language.
